My review
While this was my least favorite of the four, it still delivered on plot and steam.
Plot…and Romance?
Free Me is almost all plot and steam. The romance takes a backseat to the sheer frequency of the spicy scenes—which makes sense given where Shiloh’s relationships stand by now and the…environment the group is in (won’t say more to avoid spoilers!).
I’ll be honest: there were moments where I was tempted to skim the spice just to get to the stalker/killer plot. I’d been waiting for the story’s climax since book one.
Climax and Ending
The “final battle” delivers, but the epilogue left me wanting more—it felt too short for a series we’ve invested four books into. Still, if you’ve made it this far, you’ll want to read it just for the closure.
