I discovered Ashley N. Rostek through her WITSEC series. Overall, I really enjoyed the ride—dark, suspenseful, and unflinching in its themes, while also giving me characters I could root for. The series had highs and lows, but by the end, I was glad I’d picked it up and hope to read more from her in the future!

Author Overview
What I love about Ashley N. Rostek
Since I’ve only read a single series, my view of Rostek’s writing is specific to WITSEC. That said, what stood out to me was her ability to balance heavy trauma with romance and even bits of humor. The danger felt real, the suspense was sharp, and the relationships were layered and believable.
-
Authentic trauma representation: Shiloh’s pain and growth felt heartbreakingly real.
-
Strong character contrasts: Each Stone brother had a distinct personality.
-
Blend of suspense and romance: I was as invested in catching the stalker as in the love story.
-
Spice progression: From teasing kisses to full-blown voyeurism, the spice evolved naturally with the characters.

What to keep in mind
My experience with Rostek is limited to WITSEC—a very specific kind of story with stalking, violence, and a reverse harem. Other series or books by her may be completely different in tone or focus, so this review doesn’t necessarily represent her full range as an author.

- Reverse Harem (no MM, they are brothers!) romance: Shiloh’s bonds with the Stone brothers intensify, but the danger hasn’t gone anywhere. Romance takes center stage while suspense simmers in the background.
- Reverse Harem (no MM, they are brothers!): The stalker closes in as Shiloh’s relationship with Knox deepens, and the series’ kink elements hit full stride.
- Reverse Harem (no MM, they are brothers!) romance: a mix of constant spice, final confrontations, and a high-stakes conclusion to Shiloh’s stalker nightmare.

Oh hey! I’m Becky, book hugger and the one-woman team behind RBM. I hope my reviews help you find a story you’ll love.
