About the series
Eden is book #2 of the Project Arma series
Depends, in my opinion, this book spoils earlier books in the series, and that’s a deal breaker for me, but it might not be for you.

The heart doesn’t forget…
The memory of that day still haunts Shylah Kemp. Eden had asked her to wait for him, to remain at the safe house while he went on a mission. But when she learned he was being setup, she didn’t have a choice. She had to do something.
It was a risk…and Shylah paid dearly.
Eden Cole is not the man he once was. Not since returning from his mission to find his whole world changed. Being betrayed by his own government would change any man. Betrayal by the woman he loved—that nearly broke him.
When his woman suddenly shows up in Marble Falls fourteen months later, Eden is determined to learn why Shylah had disappeared without a trace…and put an end to the danger that’s followed in her wake. The heart doesn’t forget…

Rating & review
My review
Eden delivers exactly what I was hoping for after book one: more time in the Project Arma world, more supersoldier energy, and significantly more emotional angst.
This book scratched the same itch as Luca, even if it didn’t quite surpass it. Still, it was an entertaining, solid continuation of the series and a very satisfying read if you enjoyed book one.
At its core, this is a classic second-chance romance. Eden and Shylah are both deeply wounded by past choices, and their relationship is driven by mistrust, hesitation, and—let’s be honest—some impressive levels of stubbornness on both sides. They want to make it work, but neither is willing to fully open up, because that would be far too easy (note the sarcasm).
There’s noticeably more angst here than in book one, and it really defines the dynamic between the main couple. That said, readers should be mindful of the content warnings—especially if topics related to women’s health and injury are sensitive for you.
From a series perspective, Project Arma remains intentionally mysterious. We do get a few interesting details, but nothing major is revealed yet. It’s clear the author is playing the long game, with information about the project being slowly sprinkled throughout the series.
As for the spice: it is spicy, but I personally would have liked more tension and buildup. The connection between Eden and Shylah felt a little too easy considering their history, and I found myself wishing for more depth and emotional layering in their love story.
That said—this is very much a me preference.
Overall, Eden is perfect if you’re looking for a supersoldier romance that’s straightforward, emotionally driven, and not overly complicated. The tension here comes almost entirely from miscommunication and mutual stubbornness, rather than external chaos—and that will work very well for the right reader.
