About the series
American Prince is book #2 of the New Camelot series
Nop! Please read the previous books first. You’ll be lost otherwise or miss important plot details—start at book #1.
Book Blurb
I’ve been many things. I’ve been a son and a stepbrother. An Army captain and a Vice President. But only with him am I a prince. His little prince. Only with Maxen and Greer does my world make sense, only between them can I find peace from the demons that haunt me. But men like me aren’t made to be happy. We don’t deserve it. And I should have known a love as sharp as ours could cut both ways. My name is Embry Moore and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States… for now. This is the story of an American Prince.

Rating & review
My review
Another masterpiece.
American Prince is more dramatic and layered than the first book; it dives deep into themes of dominance, surrender, and jealousy—while delivering some of the hottest, most mind-seducing scenes you’ll ever read.
The Story
American Prince picks up right where American Queen left off and immediately raises the stakes. There’s more drama, more emotions, more spice.
The storytelling and style are the same as the first book of the series: switches between past and present.
The political intrigue grows thicker—new players enter the scene, secrets are revealed, and the tension between duty and desire is sharper than ever.
Sierra Simone knows how to layer drama with raw sensuality, and this second installment proves it.
Warning: I usually let the reader decide whether to open our Content warnings section (since they can be spoilerish), but here I need to call it out directly—this book includes consent-related scenes that might be triggering.
Erotic but Not Just “Spicy”
Here’s the thing: not every book with frequent and graphic scenes is truly erotic. For me, American Prince is erotic because it seduces the mind first. Maxen’s dominance, Greer’s submission, Embry’s rebellion, and the way control and surrender are explored make this book a masterclass in psychological seduction.
“You think you want to give that to me?”
“No. I want you to take it from me.”The dynamic feels authentic—this isn’t just role-play, it’s about characters who understand true submission.
Jealousy, Poly, and Real Emotion
What I loved most? The jealousy. So many poly romances brush it aside with “there’s no jealousy here”—which, okay, can be hot because that’s the fantasy. But Simone leans into it.
The characters admit to jealousy, fight through it, and grow because of it. That’s raw, real, and honestly even sexier.
The Heat
Let me just say: some of these scenes are among the hottest I’ve ever read.
My Kindle nearly combusted. And it’s not because there are endless pages of sex—it’s because of the quality over quantity.
Every scene counts, every touch and command carries weight.
