About the series
Jon’s Crazy Head-Boppin’ Mystery is book #2 of the Jon’s Mysteries series
Depends, in my opinion, this book spoils earlier books in the series, and that’s a deal breaker for me, but it might not be for you.
Book Blurb
Jon would like a relaxing weekend away from the crazy cases. Instead the Clarksville PD calls him up and presents him with a teeny problem.
Namely, a serial attacker with no leads, three murders, and six victims. Oh, and no witnesses.
The only good part of the case? Working with the FBI. The really bad part? Having to do a level 3 reading which is hell on Jon.
At this point Jon isn’t sure what will break first: the case or Donovan’s patience.
Jon hopes for their relationship’s sake it’s the case.

Rating & review
My review
A Fun, Light Continuation of Book 1
This book picks up right where the first one left off. It seems like each installment in the series will center around a main mystery, with Jon and Donovan’s relationship continuing to develop as an ongoing subplot.
Just like the first book, this one is a very entertaining read. It’s an MM romance with a slow-burn dynamic, wrapped in a light and humorous mystery. The tone is breezy, and while the story involves psychics with real powers, there are no other fantasy or paranormal elements mentioned—just a touch of the supernatural grounded in a mostly realistic world.
More of the Same (In The Best Way)
If you enjoyed the first book, you’ll likely enjoy this one too. It carries the same vibe, with a new mystery to solve and a bit more progress in the couple’s relationship. There’s not a whole lot that’s new, but that’s part of the charm.
- Jon: We get to see some emotional growth from Jon as he starts to confront his inner wounds, and there’s a bit more insight into how the psychic powers actually work.
- Donovan: he’s still the Perfect Book Boyfriend
Final Thoughts: Great book. I’ll definitely keep reading the series!
