Taken to Voraxia is book #1 of the Xiveri Mates series
Well, this is the first book of the series, so technically yes, but check the ending type above in case you want to avoid cliffhangers.
Book Blurb
Dark, diverse and scorching hot, Taken to Voraxia is an unforgettable experience spanning quadrants and cosmos. Perfect for fans of dark fantasy, scifi and monster romance, don’t wait another solar – start your next series addiction today.
The Voraxian king has come again and this time, he’s come for me.I’ve got no desire to be claimed by the alien king. Blue skin, seven feet and strapped with muscle, I’ve seen what his kind does to humans. And I don’t care that he watches me with hunger.I’m a hybrid and an inventor and I know that I can engineer my way out of this one. Even though our human colony is a scary, desperate place, I’m willing to meet it head on if it means escape.
So I run…
…I don’t expect him to give chase.
__________Taken to Voraxia is book 1 in the Amazon SciFi romance bestselling Xiveri Mates series! Each book features a new couple that always gets their HEA. Expect inhuman heroes with horns, fangs, claws, ridges, and otherworldly forms paired with strong human or hybrid heroines. A darker read, sensitive readers should be aware that this book contains violent battles, epic spice, and early themes of subjugation of women (that end spectacularly).

Rating & review
My review
This book was entertaining and solid—definitely not groundbreaking, but fun. It checked a lot of my favorite boxes: alien romance, fated-mates vibes, sci-fi world, and plenty of spice.
Humans live in a struggling colony, treated almost like slaves. The heroine, Miari, is a human-alien hybrid—born after her mother was assaulted by an alien. That gives you a clear idea of the darker backdrop (see my content warning section for details).
Miari meets Raku, the Voraxian king, and their connection is instant. This is your classic “aliens need women to continue their species” setup: instant attraction, cultural clashes, danger for the heroine, and steamy scenes galore. Predictable? Yes. Enjoyable? Also yes.
World & Story
The setting was engaging enough to hold my attention. The Voraxians have skin that glows different colors depending on their emotions, which was a fun detail and added personality to the worldbuilding. There’s a mix of danger, action, and rescue moments that keep the pacing steady.
This is one of those books I keep around for “reading slumps”—when I want something spicy, easy, and familiar. It’s comfort-sci-fi romance.
Romance & Characters
Miari – I actually liked her. She’s clever, a tinkerer and budding inventor, and she has this mix of naivety and determination that works.
Raku – The Voraxian leader. Very controlled, very dominant, and very much led by instinct when it comes to Miari. He walks the line between protective and possessive nicely.Their chemistry is strong, their connection fast, and while I’ve seen this trope done before, the spice here was well-written and satisfying.
Overall: Taken to Voraxia isn’t a standout, but it delivers exactly what it promises—a dark, spicy alien romance with a hint of adventure. If you need a reliable, trope-heavy read between heavier books, this fits the bill perfectly.
